Day 1

Preplanning ahead has made it miraculously easy for our girls trip. I felt safer and with a peace of mind when booking my air flight tickets months ahead with
Hawaiian airlines. My vacation started then end August through the beginning of September. Booked at least 4 months ahead in the beginnings of May. While the climate in Hawaii is pretty much great I still intended to select travel insurance for my tickets in case of any reason. The days ran quick and by the time I knew it was already here. to Kahului Airport, Maui Hawaii, first early morning (11:30am) while Lennyx would set aside later in the day. Once I arrived, I did do a silly and purchased of a
Lei Greetings. This is a cute details for those who are traveling solo, with family for the first time, just married people or just cause you prefer that love from the island. My honest and personal opinion, it was nice to be welcomed but I probably wouldn't do it again due to the fact it was slightly expensive and it was a fast greetings. During my empty time I would prepare for Lennyx's arrival while picking up the car and selecting snacks and drinks for our week stay. Good thing while preplanning our stay months in advance was getting many recommendations and suggestions with car rentals. I now highly recommend booking with
Turo. They provide great options of desire cars and it also helps with the people who do live on the island. My go-to when doing a girls trip is renting a Jeep. Best and affordable since we knew Hawaii can be expensive.
Once settled in the Jeep, I had the chance to make my route to Walmart since it was very close by. I do suggest if you have a larger group/ family it is best to go to Costco to buy bundles of food and gas. Walmart was a perfect fit for us since we limited our snacks and drinks. Of coarse any additional accessories like sunscreen, mosquito spray or gifts are all accessible at Walmart. I also do recommend Safeway for those who seek fresh food on a fast pickups. |
| Aloha Made Shave Ice |
After my errands I was left feeling hungry. There was a spot very close by the airport that had multiple food trucks (location was called Plate Lunch Marketplace). With many delicious selections, I chose to order lemongrass fried chicken at Thai Mee Up. Always the best option to get if you ever doubt or are picky with how you eat. I gobbling it up and left me craving dessert. You can NEVER leave the island without eating a shaved ice cream. Whether it's at a traditional Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice or from a local small business, you must enjoy one before your vacation expires. I headed my way to get a shaved ice cream and wanted to get something different. I found a cute and local shaved ice cream truck nearby. Bought myself a Lichee Bingsu shaved ice cream at Aloha Made Shave Ice. Time flew by... excited to have picked up my friend, we took our time to drive to our hotel on the west side of the island. Headed our way to Hilton Vacation Club Kaanapali where we could finally relax and prepare ourselves for few days of fun. Unpacked, showered and feeling fresh as fuck we got hungry very fast. Before eating we decided to rush to the beach that was behind the hotel before the sunset quickly and shot some fabulous profile sunset vibes pictures. Behind the other side of the hotel we noticed a food truck around the corner of the entrance. Like a 5-7 minutes walk. I recommend all of them. My first instinct was Italian food since I'm a pasta lover. The name of that food truck was Da Food Anchor and got myself a delicious Chicken Alfredo. Walked backed to the hotel and ate my meal. Great way to end the day.
