Trying new adventures
Day 2
Even though Lennyx already had the experience of snorkeling in the past, this time for me it was my first. Absolutely nervous, absolutely scared. My anxiety rose, but my excitement was strong. This awesome snorkeling tour was one of a kind. At least for my experience. We did get disorientated when we trying to find the boat. I was not fully organized nor read correctly the instructions that were emailed to me a day before but once we found the spot, it was easy enough to board the boat and then sail off. They offered a light breakfast meal which contained muffins, bread, fruits, orange juice, apple juice, and water. This tour typically lasted almost half of the day. So knowing that we would be slightly exhausted afterwards was going to be normal. They did end up taking us to two locations to snorkel at. The first location was Molokini Crater and then the second location was at Turtle Town. Turtle Town is considered one of the best Maui diving locations, offering a rare glimpse into the world of the Hawaiian green sea turtle. These gentle creatures have been honored and loved by Hawaiians for centuries and you’ll be given the chance to share their home with them as you snorkel Turtle Town. Many fishes, many reefs, many coral and a few turtles it was such an amazing experience that I would never forget. I have never set foot or in this case swam in the ocean. I was extremely precautions and I had my Floaties with me, but with the sea salt of the ocean it was easy enough for me to flow on my own. After our first stop at the location I did experience a small injury. I did know better and thought I was far away from the stairs to lift myself out of the water, where in fact I was really close and slammed my leg thigh into the stairs and later on caused me to get a bruise. Definitely a moment to remember. Later on we did get our lunch meal, which contained either, a veggie hamburger or a cheeseburger. During our duration of our time, we just relaxed and set sailed back to our location. By the time I knew it, it was already 1 o’clock and we were extremely exhausted. Went back to our parking lot and drove back to the hotel. Probably a good 10 to 15 minute drive, not that far from where we stayed. The remaining of our day we decided to shower, relax, nap and then take some cute photo shoots during sunset vibes again.
Before heading back to the hotel, we decided to do a quick stop at Safeway and pick up a small meal for dinner since we had leftover food from the previous day. Lennyx got some refreshing sushi while I did tend to some chicken tenders and patatoe wedges. I also anticipated to purchase some foot blister pads since for some odd reason I initially got blisters when I arrived to Hawaii.
And just like that, our first full day in Maui was officially over.
